Greatest Story Ever

Moving day is almost here and I’m super excited! No, I’m not leaving our house- which is great since we’ve been here for 18 years and managed to accumulate so much stuff! Instead, I’m moving web addresses Monday! I’ve been managing two addresses this past month while I learned a new system, tweaked the features, and fought through the learning curve. I still have learning to do but I feel the time is right to make the move!

In one more week I would have hit 3 years with Blogger- my how time flies! God has amazed and overwhelmed me over and over again through this blogging ministry. One year ago, God opened the doors to begin a speaking ministry as well. Three times I’ve been able to share God’s Word at different events and I have one more booked and another in the works.

Back in July, I was blessed to be able to attend the She Speaks 2014 Conference by Proverbs 31 Ministries. Such an amazing experience where I learned so very much… like how I need to be setting up my website differently. So I began to make changes like adding graphics and began the process of developing a new site. Monday I move! I will post on blogger the information and links so the new site can be found- so stay tuned.

Some may read the above and wonder why the excitement- let me use Mark 5 to explain-

Jesus and the disciples disembarked from the boat to enter the region of Gerasenes. There they encountered a man who roamed the tombs crying out and cutting himself as a result of being possessed by a ‘Legion’ of demons.

“When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice- ‘What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?’” – Mark 5: 6-7

Using this scene with the wisdom of James 2:18-19, we see the demons recognized Jesus as God yet they were still condemned for not accepting him. Yes, there are some people who deny the existence of God and for them I pray for their hearts and eyes to be opened. However there are far more out there who say they believe God exists yet haven’t let the truth penetrate their hearts or change their lives. I hear comments like- church isn’t my thing but I believe. My heart is saddened… even the demons admit Jesus is the Son of God but that doesn’t save them.

The mission of this blog is to help others see Jesus and to know his truths through the application of the Word to our daily lives. To the Christians, I want to bring encouragement for the valleys and hope for the struggles through the name of Jesus. To the unbeliever, I want to share the greatest story ever told- the Gospel message! Jesus loves every person with a great infinite love! This is why I’m excited about blogging and about moving sites- I have in my possession the greatest story EVER & the greatest book EVER and I get the privilege of sharing it through the portals of time and space in this blogging format and when given the chance through speaking. Wow! Talk about being pumped!

Lord, guide me as I share your truths. May they penetrate my heart first. Amen!letthemorning
